Not Wife's, Majhi carried system's dead body

     Who is this man , came to disturb our independence day festival ? What is his intention ? What energized him to carry his wife's dead body for 10 long kilometers ? Without becoming part of our "Beti Bachao" celebration why is his daughter walking along with father ?

  

     Dina Majhi does not know how to cry. He does not know how to crawl. Who will listen ?? His wife died of TB , a disease that has become obsolete in developed countries. In our country people die of TB, WHO says highest no of people in the world die of TB in India. So much "Vikas" we are doing !

  

   After death of his wife , he pleaded in front of hospital authorities that he cant afford an ambulance to carry the body. Yes, our country's tribes who has taken care of natural resources for centuries ,,today, cant afford an ambulance for their kith n kins. This is developed India.When a politician faces fever ,  an air-conditioned ambulance, ICU, hospitals get ready in five minutes for him. May be it is Dina Majhi's fault who could not become smart in the "Smart City" era. He lived in that part of India which faces chronic drought. 

  

  Few months back CM of odisha announced a scheme "MAHAPARAYANA" to provide free transportation to carry dead bodies of such poor people. May be that scheme paralyzed before reaching district main hospitals. Does not he know about insurance ?? yeah, Though he does not have anything to feed his family, but he must have done insurance. 

 

  With Majhi's episode I want to see that part of media, which always says "Nation wants to know". Today I spit on those media houses who pick useless issues and try to sell it by ranting, abusing everyday night. They are indeed destroying fourth pillar of democracy. 

 

  System has failed Majhi. Glossy pictures of bollywood, cosy life style of metro cities, daily one new schemes n innumerable speeches of PM and CM, all have failed him, likewise all tribal people. I want to say to Majhi , you not only showed a mirror to society, you also proved that you are a true Romeo of your Juliate without romance, roses and valentines.
